Bullets fired on Nierteti mayor’s house in West Darfur

NIERTETI (8 Mar.) – Unknown assailants fired bullets on the mayor’s house in Nierteti on Wednesday night. A guest was shot in the leg, but the mayor Tigani Sayf al Din remained unharmed.

NIERTETI (8 Mar.) – Unknown assailants fired bullets on the mayor’s house in Nierteti on Wednesday night. A guest was shot in the leg, but the mayor Tigani Sayf al Din remained unharmed. The police were afterwards informed about the incident. A source also told Radio Dabanga that panic spread was in the northern part of the IDP camp of Niertete after a displaced person was killed. News circulated about an imminent attack that would be instigated by one of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) factions. Donkey carriages started to transport baggage in a mass move to seek security.
