Health minister warns of disaster in Jebel Marra

The Minister of Health in West Darfur Jamaal Ramadan warns that a disaster is imminent. Malnutrition is prevailing among children of Jebel Marra after the aid by Unicef was suspended. The minister added that the federal health support had ceased since October. He expects the disaster within the coming months unless measures are taken. He also explained the Nerteti health care centre will be closed by the end of this month due to lack of supplies. 1500 families fled to Nierteti in the aftermath of clashes in the Jebel Marra.
