Umma party accuse government of expelling training officer

The Umma party (Reform and Renovation faction) accused the government of expelling the elections monitoring training officer of the Carter Centre. The party considered this step as an attempt to curb any oversight of fraud or rigging in the forthcoming elections. He added that the government also stopped the training of 3000 election monitors. Radio Dabanga contacted one of the Carter Centre officials who declined to give any comment.
