Kalma camp leader says 5000 new arrivals
The head of sheiks in Kalma camp for displaced persons said that more than five thousand more citizens arrived at the camp in the wake of recent events in Kass, Gurdud and Dugi. Sheikh Ali Abdul Rahman said the newly displaced people are suffering from poor conditions and he called on humanitarian organization operating in the state to provide assistance to them. Kalma, one of the largest IDP camp in Darfur, is located near Nyala, the capital of South Darfur.
