Dozens killed, wounded as Arab tribes renew fight in Darfur
Two Arab tribes clashed in West Darfur over the weekend leaving dozens killed or wounded including women and children. The fighting occurred in the countryside west of Artala between the Misseriya and the Nuwayba, which is a subtribe of the Abbala Rizeigat. A source who preferred anonymity said the fighting caused thousands of people to flee toward Wastani. The source said that dozens of bodies remained in the open because security conditions did not permit burial. Clashes between the two tribes in March had left some two dozen dead.
