S. Darfur camp leaders favor Abdel Wahid at peace talks — sheikh
The omdas and sheikhs of IDP camps in South Darfur delivered a note to a representative of the UN-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) refusing to consent to a peace agreement in Darfur that does not include them in the negotiations. The leaders of the displaced demanded that the leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Abdel Wahid Al Nur, negotiate in their name. They said that they have formed a special committee to participate in any negotiations, consisting of representatives nominated from the camps. Sheikh Ali Tahir said this yesterday in an interview with Radio Dabanga.
