SLM chief met European diplomats at Brussels summit

Abdel Wahid Mohamed Al Nur, head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, held meetings with some leaders of European Union countries on the sidelines of an EU summit in Brussels on Thursday. Abdel Wahid said from Brussels that he had discussed the peace process in Darfur, Sudan, security for displaced people in camps and the ‘continuing genocide’ and acts of violence by the government against civilians. Abdel Wahid described the outcome of the Brussels meetings as successful. His interview on this topic was broadcast Saturday on Radio Dabanga.
