Darfuris say justice lacking in Kebkabiya Locality
The citizens of Kebkabiya Locality raised a complaint with a visiting federal parliamentary delegation last week. They demanded that the state government bring back judicial authoritiy in Kebkabiya because of the high rate of crime. The judge-resident and prosecutors left home more than two years after being threatened by armed groups. There was also a prison break in Kebkabiya which resulted in dozens of defendants going free. The head of the women’s shura (council) in the locality spoke about the issue on Radio Dabanga’s broadcast today.
