Security arrest university students in Omdurman, Nyala

The Security Service arrested three Darfuris in Omdurman and two Darfuri students in Nyala, as part of a campaign by the government against activists of Darfuri origin. Witnesses said that security men in Omdurman arrested Abubakr Sharaf Al Din Mohamed, as well as his son, a student named Mohamed, on Monday night. At the same time they arrested Mohamed Nur Ashr.The witnesses said security forces released at a later time the student Mohammed Abubakr Sharaf Al Din while the fate of his father was unknown. The security services also arrested two students at the University of Nyala, Abdelhafiz Abdullah Abakr of the Faculty of Economics Level III, and Mohamed Hamid, of the Faculty of Veterinary Science. They were held from Saturday until Wednesday, a student told Radio Dabanga.
