Sheikh killed in South Darfur roadside shooting

A sheikh was killed in a roadside shooting in South Darfur on Wednesday. Sheikh Al Guni Mohiuddin was shot dead by gunmen in the Diri area of Ed Al Fursan district. Witnesses said that an armed group halted the sheikh’s convoy while it was traveling from the area of Diri to Gindi to participate in a religious celebration. The shots were fired at random, which resulted in the death of the sheikh and injury to his driver.
