One killed, 2 wounded in an attack by armed herders in Tawila

The civilian Osman Adam was killed by an armed group of herders on Sunday night at the well of Um Ajaba, north-east of Tawila. Two other civilians, Ahmed Osman Mohammed and Hamid Musa Abdulla, sustained wounds in the attack. Witnesses said that the armed men found Osman, Ahmed, and Hamid at the well at night trying to get water and they shot at them, killing Osman immediately and inflicting wounds on the other two. The wounded men were transported to El Fasher Teaching Hospital to receive treatments. The residents of Tawila condemned the repetition of such incidents by people whom they said were known to the police, who fail to carry out any procedures to arrest the perpetrators despite complaints being filed against them.
