They said that they had addressed the governor of South Darfur Abdul-Hamid Musa Kasha about the arrears, and told him about the delay and the transportation costs. However, they were ignored by the hospital administration.“However, the governor told us that he was not responsible for the arrears, since he had just come to power. He said he could only pay arrears for the one year since he is in power,” one of the staff members in the hospital told Radio Dabanga.However, staff members rejected this offered and declared strike. Doctors of Nyala hospital have been on and off strike since a few months to demand better working conditions.
