Fire breaks out in refugee camp
A fire has broken out at a Sudanese refugee camp in Eastern Chad, sources tell Radio Dabanga. At least 14 houses were destroyed whilst another 20 were seriously affected. One refugee said that all of his posessions had been destroyed by the fire. The camps were full of houses made of straw, allowing the fire to spread quickly. However the cause remains unknown. Sources affected by the fire told Radio Dabanga that aid and assistance were urgently needed for the refugees, who were now left vulnerably living out in the open.
