Darfuri students leave university in protest
42 students from Darfur at Red Sea University in Port Sudan have made a mass resignation in protest at the continued targeting by security services, said a source to Radio Dabanga. The spokesperson said the security long pursued Darfuri students and arrested two members of the Darfur Association of Students on Wednesday, Mustafa Mohammed Taj El-Din and Mohamed Yahya, who remain in custody. The two students were reportedly accused of crimes against the state, when President Bashir made a recent visit to Port Sudan. The spokesperson said the students would not return to the University unless they felt they were respected and treated as other Sudanese students.
