Man beaten at IDP camp in North Darfur
A man named as Hassan Abdel Salam Mohammed was attacked on Sunday morning by an armed group affiliated with the government near Fata Barno internally displaced persons camp in North Darfur. A source told Radio Dabanga that Mohammed was subjected to a severe beating with whips after venturing out of the camp to collect firewood. Mohammed was taken to a nurse who said she had no treatment for him. He was carried back to his home and is said to be in a serious condition.The incident was reported to the police who are yet to take any action.
