Security forces arrest Darfuri students in Omdurman
On Sunday, Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) arrested seven Darfuri students from the Islamic University in Omdurman. Sources said they were taken to Omdurman police station before being transferred to an unknown destination. They said the police stormed the campus firing tear gas and arrested more than 50 students taking them to a holding place in East Omdurman police department. Security elements entered then the police station late at night and took seven Darfuri students to an unknown destination. The Darfur Association of Students is concerned about the fate of the detained students. They are named as Izzeldin Muhammed, El gadal, El Nazir Khalifa, Abdullah Atif Abdullah, Taha Mugadum, Muhammed Adam and Adam Dawood. Atif Amer Hassan, Muhammed Al Amin, Ayman Muhammed Adam were also arrested by NISS and taken from their homes.
