Garsila camps expect IDP numbers to rise to 30,000

The World Food Programme is carrying out the process of re-registration in three Garsila internally displaced persons camps, in West Darfur. A camp leader told Radio Dabanga the re-registration process began on January 10 and is expected to end on Tuesday. He added they are expecting the number of displaced people to increase from about 27,000 to 30,000, partly due to the number of children born in the camps after 2005.
