Al Jimam camp needs emergency humanitarian assistance

Refuges fleeing violence in Blue Nile state and South Kordofan to Al Jimam camp in Upper Nile state, South Sudan are suffering from a severe shortage of food, water and healthcare. Food security camp coordinator, Al Simoa Adlan told Radio Dabanga about 15,000 refugees in Al Jimam have not received any supplies of food and the supplies present at the camp only reach around 9,000 people. The shortage of food is causing malnutrition and a spread of diseases such as tuberculosis in addition to the lack of water. Adlan appealed urgently to international humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to assist in managing disease and hunger at the camp to prevent the situation from deteriorating further.
