Kornoi parents call on locality to host primary exams
The citizens of Kornoi locality in North Darfur call on state authorities to allow students of primary age to sit their examinations in the locality. Since fighting broke out in 2003, students have been taken to cities such as El Fasher to sit their exams, but parents are unhappy with the arrangement as the children are young and vulnerable alone in insecure environments. A citizen told Radio Dabanga that parents of students have already paid the exam fees of 80 Sudanese Pounds each, next to the costs of housing and transportation but the authorities are yet to make arrangements, despite exams beginning in early March.
