Collision kills seven in East Darfur
A collision has killed seven people and wounded six others near Yassin locality in East Darfur. A witness told Radio Dabanga the incident occured between two vehicles in Khor Taan, on the route between Nyala and Yassin. The director of traffic police for South Darfur said in a press statement that a lorry was traveling at high speeds, carrying passengers on their way from Nyala when it overturned and hit the second vehicle. The accident killed seven people and seriously injured six, who were taken to hospital in Nyala for treatment. Child hit by car in Kabkabiya In Kabkabiya, North Darfur four people including two children were injured in two separate incidents. A witness said the first occured in Ameria locality where a child was run over by a speeding vehicle driven by a member of Abu Tira (central reserve forces). The child was named as Hunayn Adam Lown, aged nine years. The second incident occured near a high school, where a lorry and Land Cruiser collided injuring three people, including a nine year old.They were taken to hospital in Kabkabiya for treatment.
