SRF elects Chairman and Council
The Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) also known as the Kauda Alliance, held a founding conference yesterday and elected a body for the coming year. In a press statement released today, the SRF’s official spokesman Abu Al Gasim said Malik Agar, chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation movement North was elected as the alliance’s chairman. The three heads of the other movements in the alliance, Jibril Ibrahim for the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Abdul Wahid of the Sudan Liberation Movement AW (SLM-AW) faction and Minni Minawi of the SLM-MM faction will head the executive branch as vice presidents. Abu Al Gasim said the conference attendees also elected a 16 body council, comprising of four members from each movement. The conference lasted several days and addressed the future of Sudan.
