Water pumps and health services needed in South Darfur camps

Residents of El Rumla internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and the villages of Um Karko and Rahad Um Jamal, in South Darfur are experiencing harsh humanitarian conditions. An IDP from El Rumla camp said there are water shortages, and a lack of desperately needed medical services. He said IDP residents face daily five hour journeys to fetch water from a working pump. The camp resident appealed to state authorities and humanitarian organisations to provide water pumps and health services to the area.
