UNAMID soldiers injured in South Darfur ambush are ‘stable’

Three Nigerian UN/African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) personnel were taken to a hospital in Nyala, South Darfur, after being ambushed by gunmen on Wednesday. UNAMID spokesman Christopher Cycmanick described the status of the three wounded soldiers as stable and said the gunmen, whose motives and identities were unexplained, fled to an unknown destination.
