The movement said SLM-AW were fighting government forces in the Derma area, near Korma, destroying six vehicles and seizing one, along with weapons and prisoners of the government forces. SLM-AW spokesman, Nimir Abdel Rahman told Radio Dabanga the movement did not attack the LJM, but attacked government soldiers that have arrived in the region. He noted that Korma was previously under the control of the Liberation and Justice Movement and was lost in battles with the government.Nimir also accused the government of creating fighters under the auspices of the LJM name, to try to encourage infighting between Darfuri rebel groups. He said the SLM-AW does not want to fight the LJM, and has no instructions or orders to do so. The SLM-AW spokesman also said that Darfuri citizens and the international community alike, know fully well that the LJM does not have any troops on the ground.
