North Darfur displaced capture murder suspects

A rescue group formed after the killing of a displaced man in Kabkabiya, North Darfur, managed to capture three individuals suspected of committing the crime. They were handed over to the police.The gunmen, allegedly belonging to a militia, opened fire on the displaced Ahmed Hanafi on Monday, who was killed outright.In a separate incident in Kabkabiya, three gunmen opened fire on Adam Omar and another man at the el Rayyan neighbourhood, sources informed Radio Dabanga.Omar sustained a leg injury and is being trated at the Kabkabiya hospital, while the second victim was killed.Residents and the displaced living in Kabkabiya camps describe the security situation in the city as “very poor” and demanded immediate protection.
