Gunmen ambush lorry, beat and rob passengers in South Darfur

A group of 12 gunmen have reportedly ambushed a lorry en route from El Fasher to Nyala in South Darfur. A witness reported to Radio Dabanga that on Tuesday, 29 October, the vehicle was ambushed by gunmen at “Kilo 95”. They severely beat the passengers before robbing them. The witness said that the gunmen forced the passengers to offload the lorry. They then loaded 12 camels with “a selection of the booty”, and fled. The passengers and driver have lodged a complaint with the police of Manawashi.
