Weapons banned in Buram locality, South Darfur
The Commissioner of Buram locality in South Darfur has announced a ban on carrying weapons in towns and rural areas, threatening violators with immediate arrest and instant trial. The move is aimes at curbing insecurity in the region. With similar aim, the Rayafa tribe in Buram has instructed that “the protection or harbouring of any criminal or any one from the tribe who has committed any kind of crime is an offense”, reports Radio Dabanga listener, Hamid Jabir Abu Ghura.
