Militiamen murder man, abduct ten families in South Darfur
In two separate incidents in Gereida ,locality, South Darfur, militiamen killed a man and kidnapped ten families. Listeners from Gereida told Radio Dabanga that Abdelrahman Omar (80), of Kubi camp left the camp in search of his brother, Yahya Omar, who was robbed during an attack on two lorries on the Jughana-Gereida road on Monday. Two days after Abdelrahman Omar left, he was found dead, shot by militiamen near to the place where the lorries were attacked. He was buried on Tuesday. Other sources from Gereida reported to Radio Dabanga that on Monday “government-backed militiamen” abducted ten displaced families, including women and children, in the area of Sanga, near Gereida, where they went to collect firewood and straw.
