52 villagers robbed in Tawila, North Darfur
On Saturday militiamen stole 40 sheep, a number of donkeys, and more than SDG20,000 in Tawila, North Darfur, in two separate incidents. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, listeners from Tawila locality reported that on Saturday afternoon, militiamen on camels and horses attacked a group of 50 women on donkeys returning to Tabra village from the market in Tawila town. The militiamen beat the women before robbing them of more than SDG20,000 ($3,472), in addition to the goods such as sugar, oil, soap, meat, and flour. The men also took several donkeys.
