Citizens free security service detainees in West Kordofan
A group of people on Sunday freed seven youth detained by the security in Babanusa, West Kordofan. Citizens broke into the offices of the security service in Babanusa on Sunday, and freed seven members of the Babanusa Youth, one of the citizens told Radio Dabanga. The youngsters were arrested on Thursday, because they planned to organise a public seminar on the deterioration of services in the West Kordofan town. Though the seven youth were detained, their colleagues continued organising. The seminar took place on Friday evening, without a permit from the security service. Especially the deteriorating provision of water and electricity services was discussed. The attendants declared their refusal to pay the increase of the electricity tariff.
