Darfuris clash with cattle thieves in North Darfur
Two people were killed and others wounded in the area of Wadi Marra, 40km north of Shangil Tobaya, on Sunday, in a clash between a “rescue team” and cattle thieves. A member of the “rescue team” told Radio Dabanga that “Janjaweed on camels and horses attacked a group of citizens at the Wadi Marra water reservoir where their livestock was drinking. One of the citizens named Musa Adam was shot dead. The Janjaweed took 48 cows with them. A “rescue team” was formed, and in the ensuing clash one of the thieves was killed, and another injured. The team was able to recover the stolen cattle. The gunmen fled towards Malam.
