Medical specialists spread unevenly over Sudan states
The spread of medical specialists over Sudan is far from balanced, according to a paper presented by medical specialists at a conference of the Ministers of Health of the Sudanese states currently convened in Khartoum. There are 11 medical specialists working in the Blue Nile State and 17 in West Darfur, while 648 specialists are stationed in Khartoum State. This means that there are 120 specialists per 100,000 people in Khartoum, against one specialist per 100,000 people in West Darfur.
