North Darfur villages torched, looted
Four villages in Tawila locality, North Darfur, were torched and looted by elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to multiple reports by Radio Dabanga listeners. Witnesses stated the militiamen, who attacked at midday on Thursday, were mounted on camels and horses, and supported by about 20 vehicles. They stole money, property, and livestock from Kenjara, Talba, Kuaim and Hillet Tindil. One of the sheikhs of Tawila camp confirmed the arrival of about 7,000 newly displaced people on Thursday and Friday “in a state of severe fatigue and tiredness”. He said that they are living in the open without shelter, food or cover, and appealed tothe authorities and humanitarian organisations to speed-up the provision of assistance to them.
