Two passenger lorries ambushed in Central Darfur

Militiamen plundered two commercial lorries in Central Darfur on Thursday. “At about 5km before reaching Kass in Central Darfur, government-backed gunmen on camels and horses, intercepted two passenger lorries,” one of the passengers reported to Radio Dabanga. “We were coming from Jebel Marra. They stopped the lorries, loaded with fruits and vegetables, and told us to disembark. While beating us, the robbed all the passengers of their money, mobile phones, and luggage. File photo
