Militia loots South Darfur market, citizens
Pro-government militiamen robbed the market in Alaiba area, El Radoom locality in South Darfur, on Friday. One of the victims of the looting told Radio Dabanga that the militiamen riding on camels attacked Alaiba market and fired their weapons into the air before looting the stores, money and property of the citizens. The witness said that the looted money and property is estimated at SDG 300,000 ($52,326).Meanwhile, the displaced people living in Deleig camp in Central Darfur’s Wadi Salih locality have complained of the continuing attacks and looting by pro-government militiamen in their homes and on the streets. The most recent attack was on Sunday, they reported. Adam Abdallah and Hussein Yousif Idris were beaten with rifle butts and looted of their money and mobile phones.
