Central Darfur mechanic shot and burned near market
A man was dragged from a Central Darfur market, shot dead, and then burned by militiamen on Monday. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the men seized a motorcycle mechanic named Khamis from the market at Kabar in Um Dukhun locality. About 100 metres from the market, they shot him dead and then burned his body. The witness confirmed that a contingent of the Chadian-Sudanese joint forces, the native administrations and the security committee of Umm Dukhun moved to the site of the incident to investigate, but could give no further information at this time.
