‘Two Sudanese soldiers killed in Blue Nile’: SPLA-N

The Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) reported that it ambushed troops of the Sudanese army between Weilang and Magenza areas, in Blue Nile state, on Wednesday. The rebel group’s spokesman Arnu Ngutulu Lodi claimed they inflicted heavy losses on the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and destroyed four trucks loaded with military equipments and food supplies. The rebels ambushed the government forces about 50 km south of Damazin town. He said they killed two SAF elements and wounded another, besides capturing Sergeant El Amin Abdallah of the 14th garrison. Lodi admitted that two SPLA-N soldier were wounded during clashes. He pointed out that they later released the captive for humanitarian reasons.
