More than 20 homes collapsed in Abdel Jabar, Ardeba, and Toro camps in Kass locality, South Darfur, on Tuesday, the coordinator of the Kass camps told Radio Dabanga. He urged relief organisations to intervene “as soon as possible”. On Tuesday too, 350 homes collapsed in the area of Foro Baranga, West Darfur. “Floods in Wadi Azum destroyed 350 homes and vast tracts of farmlands in the area”, a resident of Foro Baranga informed Radio Dabanga. He called on the West Darfur State authorities and relief organisations to provide tarpaulins and tents to the affected “as soon as possible”.   File photo: El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, on 10 August 2014 (Radio Dabanga) Related:Darfur rains destroy homes, damage farms (26 August 2014) Rains ruin more than 6,300 homes in Darfur camps (19 August 2014) Rains destroy 1,196 homes, six schools in North Darfur’s El Sareif (18 August 2014) Floods leave 142,000 people in Darfur, Sudan without shelter (15 August 2014)
