Rebels claim attack on Tibra military base in North Darfur
The Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW) claims that its combatants have killed 17 government troops in an attack on the military base of Tibra, in Tawila locality, North Darfur, today. A villager reported to Radio Dabanga from the area of Tibra that a battle took place this morning (Sunday). The rebel fighters seized the base, Mustafa Tambour, the spokesman for the SLM-AW told Radio Dabanga. “Most of the army troops fled in their vehicles towards Tawila town.
