Gunmen assault, rob people in West Darfur
Gunmen have stolen 1,035 sheep and 46 chickens last week in four incidents in Sirba locality, West Darfur, last week. “From Saturday to Wednesday, 1,035 sheep and 46 chickens in total were stolen from Abu Girein village, and villages in the area of Jimeiza, and Abu Suruj camp in Sirba locality”, a villager informed Radio Dabanga from Jimeiza. He added that in the same period “government-backed militiamen” launched widespread attacks, and robbed citizens in armed robberies in the area west of Kondobe. “People were beaten with whips and rifle butts, often inside their homes.
