Sudan’s militiamen abuse Khartoum bus driver
Paramilitary forces beat a number of residents of Yathrib district in Khartoum, along with severely beating a mini-bus driver, on Monday. The beaten driver told Radio Dabanga that on late Monday afternoon, five members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) who reside in Yathrib stopped the bus near Silah El Zakhira. They asked the driver to take them to the Kuwaiti Tower. “When I told them the price, they refused to pay, and beat me while one of them pointed a gun at me.” When the driver sought help from by-standers, the militiamen made a phone call to their comrades, who arrived at the scene immediately and started threatening people. Most people fled after the men threatened them with their weapons. The driver added that they attempted to force to transport them, but he resisted, after which the RSF members continued to beat him until he lost consciousness.File photo
