Parents of school students in Sirba locality, West Darfur, complain of a shortage of teachers.

“Seven basic schools, those of Sawani, Munzula, Kendebe, Armenkol, Beer Dageeg and Mangura, and the secondary schools of Kendebe and Sirba are facing an acute lack of teachers, while other schools are entirely devoid of educational staff,” the coordinator of the Sirba camps for the displaced told Radio Dabanga.

He urged the West Darfur state Ministry of Education to solve the problem as soon as possible, “in order to prevent the collapse of the education in the locality, and the loss of the students’ future”.
