Passengers robbed in North Darfur

A group of gunmen ambushed a passenger vehicle near Abu Zerega in Dar El Salam locality on Monday.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, one of the victims reported that militiamen in a car intercepted the vehicle south of Abu Zerega, while it was on its way from El Fasher to Nyala in South Darfur.

“They ordered us to disembark and empty our pockets at gunpoint. We handed our money and mobile phones, after which they loaded all our belongings in their car, and fled.”
