Two dead, four wounded in Darfur shootings
Two people were shot dead and a third was wounded in two separate incidents in Yassin locality in East Darfur, on Wednesday. In an attack by militiamen on Abyad camp in Gireida locality, South Darfur, a displaced man and two policemen sustained bullet wounds.
In the area of Sani Efendo, Yassin locality, gunmen riding camels gunned down a man who tried to intervene when they assaulted two young women.

In the second incident in the locality on Wednesday, one man was shot dead and another seriously injured, when a “rescue team” clashed with livestock thieves.
“In response, angry people torched a village near Yassin,” an eyewitness told Radio Dabanga. “The displaced villagers sought refuge in the town.”
Abyad camp
A group of militiamen on motorcycles stormed Abyad camp on Wednesday morning.
“They robbed a number of the residents of their money and mobile telephones at gunpoint. El Hadi Obeid was shot. He was immediately taken to Gireida hospital for treatment,” a camp sheikh told Radio Dabanga.
He said that when a police force rushed in to intervene, the attackers opened fire on them, and wounded policemen Abdelmonim Bakhouri Bura and Mohamed Taher Juma.
