Security questions opposition leaders in eastern Sudan

He pointed out that the SCP secretary-general of Sennar state, El Hadi Idris, and party member Mohamed Hassan were released “after hours”, while a lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Sennar, was kept until Saturday.

The security apparatus in West Kordofan denied the SCP permission to hold a political symposium at its headquarters in En Nahud last week. The party considers the decision “a violation of the Interim Constitution and the Political Parties’ Act”.
