Masked gunmen repeatedly attack Um Keddada, North Darfur
Since five days, masked gunmen are creating havoc in the north-eastern North Darfur town of Um Keddada. On Tuesday, they hijacked a vehicle of the Agricultural Bank.
“A group of those gunmen threatened the driver in downtown Um Keddada, after which they took the car towards El Kuma, in the west,” an eyewitness reported to Radio Dabanga.
He said that the masked gunmen have been attacking and plundering shops in Um Keddada during the past five days.
“On Monday afternoon, another group, coming from the area of Um El Hussein in El Kuma locality, raided El Obeid weekly market, west of Um Keddada,” he added.
“They fired heavily into the air before they pillaged a number of shops.”
