‘Sudanese traders lost millions in South Sudan war’

The vice-president of the South Sudanese Chambers of Commerce, John Jock Deng, reported that the losses include money, goods, property, and sunken ships.
In a press statement on Tuesday, he said that the traders will receive compensation after the submission of their trade licenses and insurance documents.
He explained that the compensation includes traders in Upper Nile as well as the South Sudanese capital of Juba.
Deng further stressed the importance of opening Sudan-South Sudan border crossings to enforce the trade between the two countries.
