Five Sudanese activists held incommunicado in Khartoum

Agents of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) seized five young activists from a police station in Khartoum today, and took them to an unknown destination.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a listener reported that on Thursday afternoon, five members of the Sudanese Front for Change were held by the police in downtown Khartoum, when they addressed the public about a programme they call “a public dialogue parallel to the government’s national dialogue”.
“The police intervened and took four of them to the main police station, where they were charged with disturbing the public order,” he said.
“Not much later, a fifth youth arrived at the police station where he wanted to arrange for a guarantor for their release. He saw men in civilian clothes about to transfer his companions into a pickup truck. When he asked the men about the destination, they seized him too, and took them all to an unknown destination.”
