Sudan paper’s print run seized, editor quizzed

Agents of Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) confiscated the print run of El Tagyeer daily newspaper on Tuesday without giving reasons.

Journalists attributed the confiscation of the newspaper to an article written by the Chairman of the Confederation of Sudanese Civil Society Organisations, Amin Mekki Medani on the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The NISS summoned Sumeiya Sayed, the editor of the newspaper, and interrogated her about the ICC article on Sunday.
