Thousands of graduates unemployed in South Darfur
According to the director of the South Darfur Graduates’ Deployment Project, there are more than 13,000 graduates looking for work in the state.
Director El Hafiz El Goni told the press in the capital Nyala on Sunday that “The inventory is still ongoing. Moreover, we expect an increase in the numbers of university graduates every year”.
El Goni predicted that the number of graduates will amount to more than 38,000 by the year 2017.
“More than 6,000 graduates applied for 900 South Darfur state job vacancies,” he added.
An official of the South Darfur Ministry of Finance said that 700 out of the total job posts have been specified for Education, while 200 job posts have been specified for the other Ministries.
